The Production Worker is responsible for all activities associated with helping on various machines and areas within the plant including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
SCHEDULES:
1ST SHIFT: 6:30AM-3:00PM, with overtime
2ND SHIFT: 3:00PM-11:30PM, with overtime
PAY RATE:
$18.50-$18.50
JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE
· Helps / assists on various machine and areas within the plant
· Cross-trains on other machines.
· Switches duties with Assistant when necessary.
· Reports all equipment deficiencies or malfunctions requiring maintenance or repair to the proper Supervisor.
· Adheres to production schedule and communicates any unusual scheduling issues to supervisor.
· Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
· Monitors orders throughout the production run.
· Pulls samples as needed.
· Follows first article processes as posted near machine.
· Prints WIP(Work in Progress) and FG (Finished goods) load tags.
· Ensures the compliance of safety guidelines.
· Wears the proper safety equipment for the environment including safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
· Keeps work areas neat and orderly, maintaining halls and floors free of slip and trip hazards, and removing of waste materials.
· Maintains machine on a regular basis, dusting the top of the machine weekly.
· Will stack or feed on machines from time to time or as needed
· Performs other related duties as needed.
